The home stadium for the Dynamo soccer club was reopened after a renovation of the building in 2012. To ensure that the soccer club will bring in a stable income for the future, the neighbouring property along the Petrowski Park was proposed to be developed into a multi-use residential, hotel and office complex. The historically significant palace grounds of the adjacent Petrowski Palace are characterized by a cover of mature trees, which were selected to be maintained and supplemented with new plantings. Newly grassed lawns and plant beds were laid in large curves with blossoming shrubs and hedges, which strengthen the theme of dynamic movement within the open spaces. To ensure optimal circulation to and from the stadium, the existing allées, walkways and foot paths were refurbished and expanded. Basketball courts, skating rinks and cafes were implemented to add additional sport and leisure activities within the park, giving it a year-round appeal. Hidden in a grass mound lies a further sports facility. The bordering newly-built urban multi-use complex is surrounded by street trees. Roof gardens, playgrounds and courtyards offer possibilities for relaxing and leisure conveniently at the doorstep.
